A free account costs nothing, needs no card, and gives you a personal space in the Coffee Insurrection Guide. This page explains exactly what is included, what the limits are, and what changes if you upgrade to Premium.
1. Create your account
- Go to Register and create a member account.
- We send a verification email. Click the link in it to activate your account. You cannot sign in before this step.
- Sign in and open your Member Dashboard.
2. Browse the whole Guide without limits
You do not need an account to read the Guide, and a free account never locks content behind a paywall. Everyone can open:
- Every coffee shop page and roaster page, with address, opening hours, coffee profile and photos.
- City hubs and country hubs, such as all coffee shops and all roasters.
- City guides, Best Of lists, Learn articles and interviews.
3. What your free dashboard includes

| Saved shops | Save shops and roasters you want to visit. Limit: 10 saved places. |
| Been | Keep a list of the places you have already visited. |
| Saved interviews | Bookmark interviews to read later. |
| Search | Search venues by city and by coffee style tags. |
| Following · Cities | Follow the cities you care about. |
| Profile | Edit your display name and set your taste preferences. |
4. How the 10-save limit works
Your dashboard shows a counter such as 7 / 10. When you reach 10, you can still use everything else; to save more places you either remove one you no longer need or upgrade to Premium, which has no limit.
5. What is reserved for Premium
These sections appear in your dashboard with a lock icon. Opening one shows what it does and a link to upgrade:
- Tasting log
- Collections
- Passport (world map and city stamps)
- Discover (personalized picks)
- Offline city data
- Events (48 hours early access)
- Guides inside the dashboard
- Friends, Activity and Messages
- Travel itineraries
- Venue Inbox (message venues directly)

6. Tips to get the most from a free account
- Fill in your taste preferences in Profile so your suggestions match what you like.
- Use “Been” for places you have visited and keep “Saved” for the ones you still want to try.
- Follow the cities you travel to so you can find them quickly.
